How often have you found yourself swinging between western and traditional methods?

This is a typical syndrome of haste. It is common attribute of those that bite on every morsel they are been fed with, irrespective of whether it is best for them or not.

The most common fault nowadays is that we quick To share our meds or diets despite knowing if it may harm the next person. Often done with good intentions it results in catastrophic long term effects on the next person.

The aftermath of this is, the person goes from one medical intervention to the next. From One doctor to the next. From one treatment to another.
All of which was due to resolving to not standing firm footed on a possible intervention that worked.

Understanding firstly that the make up or breakdown of every person is completely different, one needs to hold dear to the method of Healing one was guided towards by the decree of Allah SWT, the Almighty.

Rushing from, be it western or traditional, can lead to confusion and when the mind is confused… The body is confused and it wont heal.

The day you chose traditional medicine, you chose to listen deeply to what your body was saying. You chose a path that understood the very root of what your body was shouting out. You chose patience instead of haste. You chose holistic instead of isolation.

No one said this journey was smooth sailing, no one said it would happen overnight.

We understand from having treated so many patients in traditional medicine, that it comes with its own challenges.

What challenges are these?

Herxheimer reaction
Elevated levels of glucose or blood pressure
Headaches
Increase in urination frequency
Increase the frequency of Bowel movements.
New Emotions or accentuated emotions coming up.

Understanding why

The body has an amazing memory and will also always choose the path it knows best.

Having said this and what we understand about this, the body will try to Protect itself from Anything new. By doing so it will hold on to what it knows best.
So unless there is no conscious decision to choose this new path, forming new ones and letting go of old ones will be a tug of war.

This point is often the pendulum point and the common thoughts that resonate at this time is… This is not working I feel worse, and the client then swings to the next intervention.

A beautiful example of this is the bodies ability to form collateral supply of circulation that supplies a tumor. As the vessel of supply are being cut it will try first to hold on by producing other vessels until it eventually succumbs to the death of the supply and thus the death of the tumor.

What do you need to do?

There is a need for western intervention and a definite solution in traditional medicine.

Knowing where each is needed is a great start to understanding when to resort to the one with greatest benefit.
Eg, cutting off of the finger… Western.
Epilepsy traditional
Burning with hot liquids western
Diabetes traditional
Oozing wounds western to stop it, traditional to treat the root.

Swinging between practitioners as you go between troughs and peaks is not ideal to your health.

So stick to what you were guided to, the process of which may be slow but thorough.

Hold on when you are in a trough, make istighfaar, ask for forgiveness and when you in a peak, make shukr, be grateful.

Dont jump at everything you hear, what works for one doesn’t necessarily works for another.

Be patient.
A lifestyle change is sometimes all you need to make that big change in your health.

Traditional practitioners are first teachers of lifestyle before anything else. So understanding that your biggest step starts with YOU, is your first step to heal within.

It is also mandatory on each person to ensure that the essential requirements of life are fulfilled. Such as taking proper breaths, hydrating and eating healthy.

This is a journey
This is your journey
And it starts with You
